A Japanese stab bound book and book wrapper. The wrapper is a 5 step pavilion with a full hina doll/court display. The book is Gocco printed on sumi paper. There is both a light peach blossom background print and the foreground prints. The book covers the dolls, their history and antecedents, along with today's customs.
Stats: Wrapper size: 13.5" x 9", 12 ink jet printed photographs mounted are on gold paper. A photo of a crude tachi bina is on the outside of the wrapper, plus black ribbon ties. Book size: 3.5" x 6.5", 28 pages, line drawings, three color printing. Edition size: 150, signed and numbered.
